He's here!!!

Baby Crue is finally here! He was born on Wednesday July 18th @ 11:27 am. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz, and he has a ton of black hair. Joe and I arrived at the hospital at 8:30 am and I was prepped and taken down to the OR at about 10:45 for my C section. I was so nervous going into to the OR by myself but all the doctors there were awesome. Joe came in shortly after I had my spinal done and about 15 to 20 min later baby Crue was born!! I didn't get to see him at all but I heard him cry as they passed him over to the NICU. Hearing him cry was the most amazing sound in the world. After I was all stitched up and back in my room they brought Crue in for me to see before he was sent to primary children's. I only got to see him for literally 2 minutes and touch his little hand before he was whisked away. After about an hour of being out of surgery I got really sick, I was throwing up all night from about noon until 3 am...it was horrible. Throwing up with an incision sucked, every time I threw up it felt like my insides were going to bust out. I didn't get to see Crue until the next day when I got feeling better. Getting to see him and hold him was AMAZING! He has to stay on his stomach so I had to hold him on a pillow but that was better than nothing. He is absolutely perfect in every way! He is doing very well. He is breathing and sucking on his own, and they did another echo cardiogram to check his heart and they said his heart is strong and healthy. It was such a relief to hear that, we were so worried about his heart. They also did a CT scan to check his ventricles and as of right now there is no need for a shunt, but that will most likely change after his back is closed. He went in for is back closure today at about 5:30 pm. The surgery only lasted about 2 hours, and they said everything went great. They said his lesion is at about L1 L2 and they said they can see hip movement and they think he has some feeling in his upper thigh. His level of movement can always change after surgery so we will see how much he has after he wakes up. A lot of things as of right now are just a wait and see, but he is beautiful and perfect and we are so in love with him it's crazy!! Easton has literally been beaming ever since Crue was born. He is loving being a big brother, and I know he is going to be an awesome one! Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure...Sorry for the crazy post, i feel like my mind is going a million miles an hour right now!

Below are some pictures of baby Crue after getting out of surgery.

I love his little jellybean feet!!

P.S. I totally won the bet on his weight!! I was only 1 oz off! I'm awesome, I know!!
